Sistem Informasi Permintaan Barang Keluar Berbasis Website Pada Perusahaan Umum Daerah Air Minum Tirta Pinang

Abstract

Perusahaan Umum Daerah Air Minum Tirta Pinang encountered challenges in managing goods requests and distribution, which were still carried out manually. This procedure led to process delays, inaccurate record-keeping, and limitations in real-time stock monitoring, all of which reduced operational efficiency and increased the risk of errors in fulfilling logistical needs across work units. To address these issues, this study aimed to design an integrated web-based information system for managing outgoing goods requests, in order to support a more efficient, accurate, and transparent business process. The system was designed to replace manual methods and support automation and real-time data tracking. This study employed a qualitative approach using direct observation and interViews with system users to identify both functional and non-functional requirements. The analysis results formed the basis for the system design, which was visualized using activity diagrams, use case diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The system design resulted in core features such as user authentication, item and department data management, recording of goods requests and distributions, and the generation of reports and digital documents. The system also included transaction history and reporting features that could be accessed online. Initial testing indicated improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use compared to the previous manual process. Therefore, the developed information system is considered capable of enhancing the quality of outgoing goods management within Perusahaan Umum Daerah Air Minum Tirta Pinang.
